Ronald Araujo marked his first Liverpool goal against LASK with a special celebration that carries a powerful message about his Christian faith. ❤️

⚽ After heading home a Kostas Tsimikas cross in the 22nd minute, the Uruguayan defender covered his face with one hand and raised the other towards the sky.

🙏 The gesture was no coincidence. During his time at Barcelona, Araujo explained that his celebration was about giving glory to God, not himself. His message was simple: “The glory is not for me but for God.”

❤️ Araujo has never hidden the importance of his faith. Even his choice of shirt number 33 at Liverpool has personal religious significance connected to Jesus.

✝️ The defender has also previously travelled to Jerusalem to visit holy sites, further reflecting his strong spiritual beliefs.

🔥 His celebration against LASK was another reminder that, for Araujo, football is about more than goals and victories. He sees his performances and personal journey as opportunities to honour God.
