Liverpool have received a major boost after Andoni Iraola confirmed that Conor Bradley is getting closer to returning to group training.

Speaking ahead of Liverpool’s Premier League clash against Brentford, Iraola revealed that the Northern Ireland international is making encouraging progress in his recovery from a serious knee injury that has kept him out since January.

“Conor is not so far from training with the group – not like full training but doing some things with the group,” Iraola confirmed.

This is brilliant news for Liverpool supporters who have been waiting patiently for Bradley’s return.

The 22-year-old brings energy, aggression, defensive intensity and attacking quality to Liverpool’s right flank. His ability to drive forward, press opponents and contribute in both phases of the game makes him an important option for Iraola.

His return could also provide Liverpool with greater tactical flexibility. With Bradley back in contention, Ronald Araújo could have more opportunities to compete for his preferred position or provide cover at centre-back, while Liverpool would have another natural right-back available.

However, Bradley is not yet back in full training, and no specific date has been confirmed for his return to competitive action. After such a lengthy absence, the priority will be ensuring he regains his fitness without being rushed back.

Liverpool are finally getting closer to welcoming one of their important defensive options back.

The progress is encouraging, and Bradley’s eventual return could make a real difference as the Reds prepare for the demanding months ahead.
