Ifeanyi Ndukwe earned plenty of praise for another impressive display for Levante, where the 18-year-old Liverpool loanee is beginning to establish himself.

The Austrian centre-back played the full 90 minutes as Levante beat Athletic Bilbao 3-1, producing a composed defensive performance. Spanish media highlighted his defensive contribution, with AS praising his partnership with Aissa Mandi and Superdeporte noting that he “cleared everything” in his area.

Ndukwe has now started Levante’s last three matches and appears to have moved beyond the costly error he made against Sevilla earlier this month. Against Athletic, he completed 27 of 29 passes, made 13 clearances and won two of three duels.

His growing role in Spain suggests Liverpool’s decision to send him on loan is already paying off. With his long-term ambition likely to be a place at Anfield, Ndukwe will hope to continue developing and impressing in LaLiga.
