Liverpool have reportedly identified Brazilian wonderkid Endrick as a potential replacement for Cody Gakpo, with Fabrizio Romano confirming the Reds made an approach during the summer.

Gakpo was expected to leave Anfield amid strong interest from Manchester City, who were reportedly prepared to pay around £80 million. However, Liverpool failed to sign their preferred replacements, Ismaila Sarr and Yankuba Minteh, forcing them to keep the Dutchman.

The situation has left Liverpool with an imbalance in attack, having signed Bradley Barcola and Victor Munoz while also possessing Rio Ngumoha, leaving them short of natural right-wingers.

Endrick could offer an ideal solution, as the talented Brazilian can operate through the middle and on the right. His limited playing time at Real Madrid has reportedly opened the door to a potential January loan move.

With Liverpool needing attacking reinforcements, Endrick could be an attractive option for Andoni Iraola. A January move remains possible, although the Reds may have to wait until next summer to secure his signature.
