Milos Kerkez has urged Liverpool to respond immediately after their 3-0 defeat to Manchester City as they prepare to face LASK in the Champions League.

The left-back admitted that results are what matter most at a club like Liverpool, insisting the team must bounce back quickly.

Kerkez said Liverpool were competitive before Ryan Gravenberch’s sending-off changed the game. He felt the Reds defended well and created pressure while the match remained goalless, but City took control after Liverpool were reduced to 10 men.

Liverpool must now turn their attention to LASK, with the fixture providing an opportunity to recover from their first defeat under Andoni Iraola.

However, supporters will expect more than words. Liverpool need a strong performance, better discipline and a convincing result to restore confidence.

A victory in Austria would ease the pressure, while another disappointing display could raise further concerns about the team’s response to Sunday’s setback.
