Manchester City manager Enzo Maresca has praised Rayan Cherki ahead of Wednesday’s Champions League clash against PSG, describing the Frenchman as both a great person and an excellent player.
Since joining from Lyon in 2025, Cherki has impressed with five goals and two assists in eight appearances this season, including a goal in City’s 3-0 victory over Liverpool.
Maresca also praised the midfielder’s work rate, expressing satisfaction with his recent progress. Cherki is expected to feature against PSG, a team he has previously faced 11 times.
