Ex Man UTD boss Van Gaal exposes what Man City Cheating cost him

Louis van Gaal believes Manchester City’s alleged financial rule breaches cost him his Manchester United job in 2016.

Van Gaal was sacked despite winning the FA Cup after United finished fifth in the Premier League, missing Champions League qualification to City on goal difference. He described the setback as the “deciding factor” in his dismissal.

An independent commission recently found City guilty of 114 Premier League rule breaches linked to alleged financial misconduct between 2009 and 2018. The club have appealed, insisting they have evidence to prove their innocence.

Potential punishments include fines, transfer bans, points deductions and even expulsion from the Premier League.

Meanwhile, Colombian journalist Cesar Augusto Londoño claims UEFA could ban City from European competitions for seven to 10 years if they lose their appeal. However, this remains an unconfirmed report, not an announced punishment.

Van Gaal admits nothing can change the past, saying: “I cannot turn back history now.”
