Liverpool could strengthen its squad in January, with Aston Villa midfielder Johan Manzambi reportedly identified as a potential replacement for Alexis Mac Allister.
The 21-year-old has impressed since joining Villa from Freiburg, recording two goals and three assists in five appearances. Real Madrid are also monitoring Mac Allister ahead of next summer.
Meanwhile, Liverpool have reportedly contacted intermediaries to explore the possibility of signing Barcelona defender Jules Koundé. The 27-year-old could consider leaving after losing his regular starting place under Hansi Flick.
Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United are also reportedly interested in Koundé, whose versatility at right-back and centre-back could help Liverpool strengthen their defensive options.
