Jamie Carragher has called Manchester City’s owners a “stain” on the club and argued that the Premier League should strip the club of titles won during the period covered by the financial charges.
Carragher said rival clubs and players had been “robbed” of memorable moments, while questioning how City’s current ownership can continue in English football following the verdict.
City deny wrongdoing, have expressed disappointment with the findings and intend to appeal. Possible sanctions could range from a fine to relegation.
