Arsenal, Liverpool & Man United Urged to Consider ‘Wrecking Ball’ Sunderland Striker
Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United have reportedly been encouraged to consider a move for Sunderland forward Brian Brobbey after his stunning hat-trick against Manchester City.
Journalist Darren Lewis believes the Netherlands international possesses the strength, hold-up play and physical presence needed to trouble Premier League defences.
Brobbey has been described as a “one-man wrecking ball” because of his ability to bully defenders, hold off centre-backs and bring teammates into play.
Lewis believes Liverpool could benefit from his physicality, while Manchester United and Arsenal could also use a striker with his characteristics.
🎙️ Lewis said Brobbey’s ability to battle defenders and occupy multiple centre-backs makes him an option worth considering for the Premier League giants.
The 24-year-old joined Sunderland from Ajax for around £17m and has scored 10 goals in 38 appearances for the club in all competitions.
Former Premier League midfielder Danny Murphy has also praised Brobbey’s old-school style, although he believes the striker must continue finding the net if he wants to attract interest from a top club.
👀 Could Brobbey be the physical No.9 Arsenal, Liverpool or Man United need?
