Liverpool have a bunch of senior team players who are nearing the end of their existing contracts with the club after the end of the ongoing 2026/27 season.

This includes some important members of the first-team squad, with the Reds yet to take a decision on whether to strengthen their stay at the club or not. Here are the six Liverpool players whose contracts expire after June (2027).

Virgil van Dijk: The Liverpool skipper actually signed a new deal with the Reds last year, but that deal is poised to expire after the 2026/27 season. Van Dijk remains a crucial part of the Reds backline, but only time will tell if the 35-year-old gets a new long-term deal – mostly because of his age.

Alisson: The Brazilian goalkeeper has a superb start to the 2026/27 season, keeping three back-to-back clean sheets in Premier League matches as well. However, Alissos’s deal with Liverpool expires at the end of June (2027). With Giorgi Mamardashvili having been signed as his successor, Alisson must keep up his fabulous form to be able to earn a new contract.

Joe Gomez: The versatile defender has had a shaky start to the new campaign because of his injury troubles. Gomez is also nearing the final few months of his contract with Liverpool, which expires at the end of June (2027). With the Reds already having many young players in their backline, Gomez has to do something special to earn a new deal.

Kostas Tsimikas: The Greek Scouser has been appointed the back-up left-back role at Liverpool this season and is fighting Milos Kerkez for that position. Considering that his contract with the Reds expires after the 2026/27 season, Tsimikas has to perform much better for Andoni Iraola’s side to be able to earn a new deal.

Wataru Endo: Endo has also struggled with injury troubles in the early parts of the 2026/27 season. He is firmly a squad player for Liverpool right now and with his contract expiring next year, he’ll have to do something spectacular to get a new deal.

Harvey Davies: Davies is a back-up goalkeeper at Liverpool who is unlikely to climb up the ladder in the goalkeeper’s charts. The Reds have agreed a deal to sign Lucca Brughmans in 2027, which itself is probably an indication that Davies will be released next year.
