Liverpool manager Andoni Iraola faces an anxious wait ahead of Sunday’s clash with Manchester City, with several players returning from international duty carrying injuries or heavy workloads.
Alexander Isak and Cody Gakpo have already picked up injuries, while Jeremy Jacquet is also a doubt with a reported hamstring issue. Dominik Szoboszlai, Ronald Araujo and Alexis Mac Allister could also face fatigue concerns.
Worst-case scenario, Iraola could make up to five changes, with Lewis Koumas, Rio Ngumoha, Jeremie Frimpong, Joe Gomez and Ryan Gravenberch potential replacements.
Liverpool will be hoping Isak and Jacquet recover in time, but Gakpo appears likely to miss the City game.
Possible Liverpool line-up vs Man City: Alisson; Frimpong, Gomez, Van Dijk, Kerkez; Gravenberch, Szoboszlai; Ngumoha, Wirtz, Barcola; Koumas.
