Emile Heskey tells Liverpool to sign ‘strong’ and ‘explosive’ £131m-rated Man City pair – ‘Iraola would love it’

Former Liverpool striker Emile Heskey has urged the Reds to reignite their interest in Manchester City duo Marc Guehi and Antoine Semenyo if financial sanctions force City to sell players.

With the pair valued at a combined £131m, Heskey believes Guehi’s defensive strength and composure would suit Andoni Iraola’s system, while Semenyo’s pace, explosiveness and eye for goal would add quality to Liverpool’s attack.

Liverpool previously missed out on signing both players and could have another opportunity if City are forced to cash in on key stars.

However, the Reds are expected to prioritise midfield and left-back reinforcements in January.
