PSG manager Luis Enrique admitted his side were fortunate to secure a 4-2 Champions League victory over Manchester City, despite leading 3-0 at half-time.

PSG dominated the first half, but Erling Haaland’s second-half brace sparked a City comeback. The visitors also missed a penalty and hit the woodwork, leaving Enrique concerned that his team could have lost the match.

“I don’t like going into half-time with a 3-0 lead,” Enrique admitted, warning that his players risked becoming complacent. He added that City deserved to score more goals and PSG could have suffered a defeat with less luck.

PSG will now turn their attention to next Tuesday’s clash against Barcelona. Despite their strong start to the Champions League, Enrique insists the ultimate goal is to be the best team at the end of the season, not just at this stage.
