⚠️ Jeremy Jacquet’s gesture forced Andoni Iraola into a quick Liverpool change against LASK.
With Liverpool leading 4-0, Jacquet appeared to signal discomfort after a sprint, prompting Iraola to substitute him and Ronald Araujo, bringing on Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez.
Jacquet recently missed France’s final international fixture due to workload management, raising concerns about his fitness ahead of Liverpool’s busy schedule.
Liverpool secured a comfortable victory, with Bradley Barcola scoring a hat-trick, while Florian Wirtz and Rio Ngumoha impressed.
Alexander Isak, Cody Gakpo and Dominik Szoboszlai also remain sidelined with injuries, although Iraola expects their absences to be short-term.
Iraola’s decision to withdraw Jacquet immediately could prove crucial in preventing a more serious injury.
