Chelsea reportedly believe they are in a strong position to win the race for Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott, with a potential January transfer now attracting serious attention.
The 23-year-old England international has impressed with his performances for Bournemouth, and his growing reputation could earn him a major move, although the Cherries may demand as much as £100 million.
Chelsea previously explored a deal for Scott during the summer and are reportedly confident they can secure his signature when the transfer window reopens.
However, the Blues could face competition from Liverpool, who are also monitoring the highly rated midfielder. A reunion with former Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola at Anfield could make the Reds an attractive destination.
Chelsea are looking to strengthen their midfield after reportedly losing Enzo Fernández to Manchester City, while Liverpool could also be tempted to make a move.
With both clubs looking to improve their performances this season, Scott could have a difficult decision to make if offers arrive in January.
But which club will win the battle for his signature — Chelsea or Liverpool?
