Liverpool striker Alexander Isak has admitted that joining the club after Diogo Jota’s tragic death was a difficult period for the new signings.
Responding to Andy Robertson’s comments about the impact of Jota’s passing, Isak said the atmosphere was understandably difficult, particularly for those who knew the Portuguese forward well.
However, the Swede insisted settling in wasn’t necessarily difficult and praised the squad, saying the atmosphere at Liverpool is now much better.
Isak has also enjoyed a strong start to the new season, scoring four goals in five Premier League appearances and feeling increasingly fit and consistent.
