Former Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson admits he will always have a special connection with the club, but he will put those emotions aside when Chelsea visit Anfield in the Carabao Cup.
The 36-year-old midfielder spent 12 years at Liverpool, captaining the side for eight years before leaving in 2023. After spells with Al-Ettifaq, Ajax and Brentford, Henderson joined Chelsea this summer and has made an impressive start, recording two goals and an assist in four Premier League appearances.
Despite now representing Chelsea, Henderson insists his love for Liverpool remains unchanged. He will now face his former club once again, determined to focus on his new challenge at Stamford Bridge.
