Manchester City have agreed a deal to sign 17-year-old Cavan Sullivan, with the US teenager continuing to impress.
Sullivan became the youngest goalscorer in USMNT history after scoring against Mexico just five days after his 17th birthday.
The highly-rated youngster, who broke Freddie Adu’s record as the youngest MLS debutant at 14, is expected to join City once he turns 18.
His rapid development has accelerated in recent months, with only Lionel Messi matching his 13 MLS goal involvements since the summer break.
Despite uncertainty surrounding City following their Premier League financial-rule verdict, Sullivan’s move remains on course as planned.
