Manchester City full-back Rico Lewis has been called up to England’s senior squad after being promoted from Lee Carsley’s Under-21s.
Lewis replaces club teammate Nico O’Reilly, who withdrew through injury, and joins the first team after helping England U21s qualify for the 2027 European Championships.
The 21-year-old has made three appearances for City this season, starting twice, and has five senior England caps, his last coming in 2024.
