Dominik Szoboszlai has received further backing to become Liverpool’s future captain, with teammate and fellow Hungarian Armin Pecsi praising his leadership qualities.
Andoni Iraola named the 25-year-old one of Liverpool’s vice-captains this summer, while Steven Gerrard and others have also tipped him to eventually succeed Virgil van Dijk.
Szoboszlai already captains Hungary and has worn the Liverpool armband during pre-season.
Pecsi believes he would be “honored and very proud” to captain the Reds one day, while also crediting him with helping him settle at Anfield.
