Brighton boss Fabian Hurzeler has described the ongoing Manchester City financial charges case as a distraction, insisting his focus remains on preparing his team for upcoming matches.
City have appealed the independent commission’s verdict after being found guilty of breaching financial rules, with the case continuing to attract attention across the Premier League.
Hurzeler said he would rather concentrate on matters within his control, adding that it was too early to comment on potential sanctions while the appeal process remains ongoing.
Bournemouth boss Marco Rose also refused to judge City without knowing all the facts, insisting he trusted the authorities handling the case.
Leeds manager Daniel Farke similarly distanced himself from the controversy, saying his priority was Leeds United rather than matters involving other clubs.
Newcastle boss Matthias Jaissle echoed those sentiments, arguing that investigating the case was the responsibility of the relevant authorities, not rival managers.
However, Sunderland boss Regis Le Bris stressed the importance of fair competition, insisting that football rules must be respected and that breaches should have consequences.
Le Bris added that maintaining fairness was essential to protecting the integrity and value of the Premier League.
